The Mausoleum

Chapter 11, Pages 108-109

“We, each of us, are composed of spirit encased by flesh that was molded from the dust. When we die, we go neither to Hell nor to Heaven. Instead, we are laid to rest in the dust from whence we came to await Judgment Day. All those, as far back as Abel, who were chosen by Yahweh, the Father, to play important roles in the world to bring the prophecies to life and bring them to past, shall be resurrected as spirit in the first resurrection. Those who were not, regardless of race, beliefs, religion, shall be resurrected in the second resurrection. These things are spoken of in the Bible as the apostle Paul was inspired to write. I apologize for any misgivings or misled feelings you may now be having or feeling toward me, but I felt led by the Spirit to impart this knowledge to you due, in part, to what I speak of next.

“A person who dies and is too afraid or doesn’t want to leave behind the life that he or she knew here on earth is eventually condemned to an eternity in Hell, which explains why ghosts are depressed and sad and always seem to want to hurt the living. It would also explain the aforementioned. When this happens and the person is condemned to Hell, he or she appears as a ghost. Ghosts, moreover, are only a form of lesser demons, as I previously mentioned. This explains why ghosts are so hostile toward us who are alive.”

Brian looked at the time and saw that it was nearly one o’clock. “I would also like to tell you all that what is happening in this quiet little town is nothing more than a war between good and evil, angels and demons. I don’t know about you, but I’m choosing to stand and fight for the side of good alongside the angels, for if Satan is not conquered and his demons banished back to Hell, the ground will shake and the volcano near here will erupt. I have seen the signs as they have been given me by the Lord Himself as I had asked for them.” With that, Brian quit speaking.

There was a silence in the chapel that wasn’t eerie but appreciative. Brian made to exit the chapel. He stopped when he reached the steps leading down from the dais. Turning around, he went back to the microphone.

“If anyone is willing to assist me in the matter, meet me outside in the span of ten minutes. I would recommend he not be married or have any kids as a divorced father. Thank you,” Brian requested.

Brian didn’t tarry any longer than was necessary. He hastily walked out of the building and to his car. Once there, he inserted another pinch of dip into his lower lip. He waited patiently in quiet solitude.
